This release focuses on usability - to make the life of both the addVANTAGE Pro user and administrator easier.

Here are the key elements of Pro 5.4:

1) Statistics on-the-Fly by simply dragging the cursor
2) User-modified / inserted data
3) The "Public Trend"
4) Customizable time-span for the viewer
5) Export events lists as pdf files
6) For administrators: customizable menus

1) Statistics on-the-fly:
It's never been so easy to create a statistical assessment of a time-span! Get minimum, maximum and average values plus the total of a time period - by simply clickng into your trend graph and dragging the cursor over the desired time-span!

For every sensor in that window a little statistics-window will be created and shown in the colour of the sensor which it belongs to.

2) User-modified / inserted data:
Sometimes data gets lost or is apparently incorrect. That happens for example when the rain gauge is clogged and doesn't show any rain, when the wind sensor is obstructed by leaves and doesn't turn, when a sensor was removed for calibration or repair and during that time a gap occurred, or when a sensor showed excessive values, because the tractor's exhaust pipe was frying the temperature sensor....

Now that's easily fixed! Open a table view, click on the value you want to modify or insert and enter the desired number - done!

Manually inserted or modified data can easily be identified: it is highligthed in red. What's even better - your original values do never get deleted. As easily as values can be inserted they can be removed again.

If you need to modify a whole range of data, like a week during which a sensor was removed for repair or calibration, you can also choose to copy data from another tag - in a matter of seconds!

3) The Public Trend:
A request that we have heard numerous times was the desire to publish a trend graph without the need to log onto a Pro 5 server. The Public Trend lets you do just that! You can convert any trend to a public trend with the click of a mouse button. Then embedd a simple html command into any website - and you're all set!                                                                                                       Go to top

4) Customizable time-span for the viewer:
Sometimes the default options as offered by the system just were not enough. Many clients want to look at their data beyond the predefined observation periods. A day, a week, a month - but why not 3 days, 2 weeks, and 4 months? Done - set ANY time-span you like! Select "custom period" from the time-span drop-down menu and define your own time-span!

5) Export Events Lists as pdf files:
In order to properly print, fax and/or email reports to clients who do not have their own internet access or who do not have an account on the Pro 5 server you can now convert any events list into a pdf that can easily be printed, faxed or emailed.

6) Administrator feature - customizable menus:
Many users will only want to look at a trend graph or an events list and will log off again. They will not need to navigate through the system and have access to a wealth of features which might lead to confusion.

Administrators can now disable many of the features of addVANTAGE Pro 5.4 on various levels. Menus can thus be shortened, simplified, or completely removed. This will also help to avoid support calls why a certain feature "just doesn't work".
