Directional GSM 900/1800/1900 TNC, IP66, Mast mount
For all those installations, where the GPRS RTU is mounted in areas with interference or objects between the RTU and the GSM tower, this directional antenna will help to improve the situation.
Please be aware that even with a directional antenna the transmission distances cannot be extended beyond the range as defined by the timeout of the GPRS standard! This antenna is meant to improve reception in difficult terrain, such as stations surrounded by trees. Make sure that the antenna faces the GSM tower it needs to talk to, as the transmission pattern is well focussed!
This kit comes complete with a mast mounting bracket, a short piece of cable with a TNC connector mounted, perfectly matching the TNC connector on your RTU.
